I think the motto of the actual rouge thread is don't go rouge.
I have no idea what your TA was thinking, but it clearly is time to look for a new one. A little work by the TA would have got you cheeper fares, more points, and a better travel experience. You might have connected, but there would have been money in your pocket. In fact somebody did a comparison and the fares on rouge were not a lot less expensive that tango fares on the mainline, and in some cases not that much less than flex. Flying on UA or others and you could have avoided the excessive service charges AC LH and others tack on to every ticket. Not sure if TS is going to ATH this year but club transit can be had for a pretty reasonable fee above Y.
