Happy Mardi Gras Everyone!

Braniff International is correct! BN was operating two round trip flights between MCI and OMA with B727-200 equipment. However, the OAG sched I looked at did not list any flights operated by Texas International (TI) at the time....

Some sources contend that Metro Airlines purchased most if not all of Frontier's Convair 580 aircraft. It is known that Metro did indeed purchase quite a few CV-580s from FL. These turboprops were then used to initiate the first ever American Eagle service which commenced on Nov. 1, 1984 with a flight between DFW and FYV. These new AA Eagle services were operated by Metro subsidiary Metroflight Airlines. Thus began the American Eagle legacy......

And, oh by the way, should anyone out there be interested in purchasing a regional air carrier that currently operates a whole bunch of RJs, I'm sure AA would make you one heck of a deal.......
