The annual fee of $95 came due this month on my MileagePlus Explorer Card. I have read that Chase might consider spending patterns to determine retention offers, but I haven't used the card since June as I've been meeting spends on other cards. I'm going to call in, but I had a question should they not share any retention offers; if they don't and I decide to close the card, should I ask to transfer my existing credit limit on the MileagePlus card to another Chase card on the same call? It may be a stupid question, but I wasn't sure if they would deny the credit move if I intend to cancel the card anyway?
