In 2012 I picked both thanks to the status match, and requalified for top tier on both.

One thing AA did is remind me how much I love DCA, and the fact it's only 5 minutes away for me. Even now, I find myself connecting on UA out of DC instead of the nonstops from IAD.

Going forward, it's going to really depend. I'm very close to 1MM on UA, so will have at least one more year at 1K to seal that, but afterwards, if I'm not doing 200k EQM a year it'll be a tough choice.
