A little late but originally had CLE-EWR-SEA-IAD-CLE scheduled for Sat.

united.com let me switch to alternate flights w/o change fees and it was through IAH, banking even more miles than originally planned.

The one caveat was a 14-min connect time in SEA (!). I worked with the United Club agent at CLE to hold a future flight for me (as things were getting overbooked fast) in case I missed that turn.

I lucked out, made the turn and the flight change somehow booked me into a higher fare, resulting in 3-of-4 legs clearing on overbooked flights, even as a Premier Silver.
