I would avoid any more direct communication with Delta. Speak through your lawyer only. I'm certainly not an advocate for handouts and might even be classified as a Delta apologist, but their employee screwed up massively, causing significant financial and emotional distress.

Bottom line, Delta doesn't need this going public and/or to civil court. Bad PR.
