The phone bill was sent and screen shots were taken and sent away. They only wanted to pay half of the charges. And it's not like we were on FACEBOOK or wasting data. Most of the calls were to Family, my wife, and the U.S consulates in MEXICO CITY (Friend of the family) and CANCUN
Not sure if the 749 was for more than one night or not, but if the hotel didn't give you a refund you may want to talk to their manager (obviously irrespective of how you make out with DL)
They may cut you a break or give you store credit for a future visit. I find hotels can be more generous than their official cancellation policy.
