It searches for the fastest time from the Departure time you select, so if you choose say depart at 3pm and HEX option is 1h20 leaving at 3pm (arriving 4:20) and another option is 1h but leaving at 3:30pm, it will show the HEX option. That may be the reason, rather than a TfL HEX conspiracy.
Nope, exactly the same times, did the search for an upcoming flight...won't travel by tube as I have to travel in to central London with all the attendant luggage during rush hour, actually same goes for the HEX
I could go via Clapham Junction get the slow trains, but will stick to getting a cab, when there are two passengers it works on cost- not AL though, too much money IMO.
Have tried a few new firms lately, the local ones take the pi**, I waited 45 minutes on a Sunday evening for a journey that takes about 35 in the summer.
So far I am not impressed, however the journey back from T5 last time was great (unlike the trip outbound when I finally told someone to slow down when the speedo hit 90, my uncharacteristic 'castigation' via phone led to a superb return

)
A bit of consistency would be nice now and again ....
