I really dont like this guy for one reason: He professes to others that he is some kind of expert on what is good for the consumer. You either have to be a socialist, utopian fringe believer or a completely fool to not predict elimination of competition shall lead to less (and by proxy more expensive) choices for the consumer.
Had the general public been as well informed as Mr. plagwate and not Mr. Howard you would probably have never experienced the eclipse of the FL brand. However that is a discussion for another date and time (perhaps one worthy of a book?)
