Well, I think I prefer renting from Hertz. Higher rates but more focus on the rental customer. A low rate but no tolerance for wear and tear isn't for me.

My question really is; Am I just having bad luck? I'd like to hear others stories of car rental companies damage claims and if they felt the claims were warranted.
