Wonderful Resort

Just finished a stay there for two nights with the Mrs. on cash & points - 15,000 + $70.

On arrival we decided to pay for an upgrade to the Atrium Suite, which would have cost $150 a night because of Chinese New Year. Instead we opted to enroll in the Ambassador program for $200. Got upgraded to the Atrium Suite + free night cert for future stay. We got a decent Chilean wine + cake as a welcome gift.

The resort is still very new, extremely beautiful, and felt nearly empty - there were probably less than 150 guests while we were there. Construction is still underway, and I believe they said it would be completely finished by 2014.

Breakfast was a little expensive at $25 a head, but was plentiful, and the views were superb. Keep in mind once you get there you're completely isolated from everything - a cab ride into town is at least 20 minutes, with the airport at about 30 minutes (and $18) with no traffic. The ___LONG___ bar was pretty slick, and has a happy hour buy 1 get 1 free from 5-7pm, though as with all Asian bars you're best off sticking to beer or wine.

Truly a luxurious experience. My wife is still talking about it. ^
