Hmmm, that's interesting. I've never booked a hotel outside either US or very occasionally UK and I was very surprised. I would expect to see this for a 3rd or 4th person just not for a second. I guess this particular hotel only wants single travellers. Not a big issue, I simply booked elsewhere in the end.
