I set out to book a couple of nights stay in and around Chicago and came across what looked like a good rate at the Holiday Inn, Chicago Westbrook.

When I selected the rate however it stated that there was an "additional person" charge of $10 per night starting with the second individual.

I've come across additional person charges before but never for the second person - has anyone else?

I think it's pretty underhand as the $90 rate rapidly increased by more than 10% yet I had already stated 2 adults in the search criteria.

Not impressed - needless to say I didn't book it and found an alternative.
