The nearest pick-up point is the Southern Cross Station, they don't do transfers to hotels...but there is a Tram station near by that you can catch to Southern Cross station or a taxi only costs around $8
You may find taxis reluctant to take you a short distance, if they've been waiting in a que. I had one like that, who refused to use the meter for a short trip from the IC down the street. I protested and took a picture of the cab, and all of a sudden, it was "no charge".
