I've put a flight on hold (EWR-HNL for $440). I'm stuck on UA metal on the way out but a window seat so I'm not so concerned -- I'm 6'4" and will tolerate it. But it's showing that only middle seats are available on the way back but its' US airways metal on a UA codeshare. I'm Chairman and am wondering if I can get my status to get me preferred seating or even a first class upgrade -- if not, I won't purchase the ticket because I can't sit for 7 hours in the middle at my height.

Any ideas, suggestions, or knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
