Can you buy a prepaid Visa card from their AMEX award program? Last I looked, a month ago, you could only buy the Visa card from their Visa (gas card) award program. I was actually a bit annoyed by this because with the value of a travel point dropping to a penny in the AMEX program, there's no incentive to use your AMEX points for travel. You'd do better off just cashing out on a Visa gift card -- if they offered it.
You are correct, iahphx. I was looking at the platinum rewards. Fortunately I use Amazon for many things. So it is still worth it for me.
I wonder why they don't offer the visa prepaid card. What is the hold out?
