Datapoint:

- On January 2nd, applied for Visa in Link 4 and this MC http://creditcards.citicards.com/usc...0126164532%3As
- Instantly approved
- Finished the $2K spent on the Visa and had my 40K bonus posted 1 day after the statement closed on the 6th
- Confirmed with a CSR the up to $100 credit on AA purchases for the Visa, but she said the Admiral's Club passes was only handed out for renewal
- Got companion passes for the MC
