I've got one data point, which is actually 4 data points.

So, I had a flight (two, with a connection) today...my upgrades never cleared on a F9, ~R7 flight at my window...which I've easily cleared in the past, at T-96 hours.

Nothing at 72 and nothing again until today.

Get to the airport, check-in, and the lady doesn't ask if I want to split my reservation or not, but just does (it was early in the morning and I didnt think to tell her before she did it)...I think, oh no - we'll probably be split and get screwed somewhere along the lines with irrops, etc...

So, just for curiousity (there was only one seat left in F at the gate) I wanted to see where I stood on the list and if I was at #1 or close by...

Nope, not even on the list at all...nor was my companion, my wife, a Gold.

This also happened for our connecting flight, also a F5+ and R2/3 before the 96 hour window.

And of course, all of these flights, INCLUDING OUR RETURN FLIGHTS, had the icon removed for CPUs, when they did appear earlier in the week.

UA is going to hear something nasty from me - this was/is absolutly ridiculous of what they think they can do to folks without telling them and frankly without them even really knowing about it, probably...their systems are a disgrace, and I frankly can't keep spending my money on an airline that can't do something simple like that, right.

So, to make a long story short: Icon goes away on 2 flights with 2 passengers, and yes, we didn't get the upgrade because we were basically never on the list to begin with - even at the airport, after check-in.

Awful.

Usually I wouldn't care about Upgrades, but this was our first flight with our baby, and while she did well, it would have been nice knowing that 100k+ miles last year was spend on something slightly worthwhile...
