Former LHW property, so I thought it might fit in here. Feel free to move if not.
In a nutshell: perhaps not traditional Four Seaons style luxury, but amazing value and deserves serious consideration.
Booked via my Virtuoso advisor (through her Protravel corporate rate, not Virtuoso) for $127 per night midweek. That's an amazing price for a 4-star property located in River North. Valet staff were quick to act, the doormen were outgoing and helpful, and the front desk attendant introduced herself by name and welcomed us to contact her personally for any requests.
Upgraded from a lead-in room to a Studio (aka Jr. Suite). Unfortunately, no view to speak of, as I had an interior room that faced a parking lot.
Room was smartly designed, had a comprehensive wet bar, 2 TV's, couch, very comfy bed, choice of 3 types of pillows, and very nice bath amenities (Intelligent Nutrients).
Door man offered us water on the way out. Did not visit spa/gym.
On-site restaurant is David Burke's Primehouse, one of the few steakhouses in town that offer dry aged steaks. Primehouse was good, but I think there are better steakhouses in town (Chicago Cut, specifically).
