It depends on your luck. I'm batting 50% on E+ at T-24 over the last 5 months but that's mostly due to the fact I will not take a E+ middle over a E- aisle/window.

I am neither tall nor wide so E- is tolerable but really do appreciate E+ for those ORD-SFO and ORD-SNA segments especially when you luck out and get the E+ middle open because most people will stay in E- aisle/window over taking a middle.

Now if I actually ever had to fly UA on TPAC or TATL, I am sure I would value my Silver status a lot more highly than I do - still only doing 60% on UA as AA/WN are often more convenient and/or better priced out of ORD/MDW.
