I can't confirm all of it but I can tell you that when I did the two browser trick in November I ended up with two accounts with identical limits and only one hit. The bonus miles for one posted last month. I will try to remember to report back when the bonus miles hit for the other one. Should be any day now. This was for the Platinum consumer card.
