Not sure why you see *S but you can try removing your FF# and re-adding it. I can confirm though that with your Star Gold card you can take advantage of the express line at IST - I did it less than 2 weeks ago.
I tried a good old trick. Removed the number and entered it again. still show *S.
Talked a TK agent on the phone who confirmed that the computer shows *S. Good that I can use my UA MP card showing *Gold especially for the express line. Thanks!
