I've used my old ones, as recent as December, with no issues. Well, I was on pmCO metal in November and the FA needed to ask the Purser if they could take it, but that's the only hitch. Of course they did take it.

This is a New Year and probably new rules exist that we aren't aware of. I guess we can keep trying until we get told no.
