I confirmed an itineray SFO - Casablanca for April. Unfortunately, to get the right rate I needed to first route through MUC, then MUC - FRA and finally FRA - CMN.
My original itinerary allotted for 2 1/2 hours layover and then 1 hr 5 to catch the only FRA-CMN flight of the day.
I just received a schedule change notification allowing for only a 45 connecting layover in MUC. This sure seems tight. Will EU Immigration be required? Remember, I am boarding a flight to FRA.
The next hourly MUC-FRA flight has availability, is an hour later and would still allow enough transfer time to the flight FRA-CMN. I am trying to demand that they switch me without the $250 change fee they want to charge since it was there mistake in scheduling in the first place.
Should I be concerned? Do I have a leg to stand on?
If I understand you correctly your original itinerary had 2 1/2 hours layover in MUC and 1 hr 5 mins in FRA. Your new itinerary will have 45 mins in MUC and a longer layover in FRA. Which airline(s) are you flying on?
I'd be more concerned about 1 hr 5 mins in FRA than 45 mins in MUC. Assuming you are on LH or *A, you only need to clear passport control and no security in MUC and the same in FRA. You only need to go one level down in MUC but will have to change concourses in FRA.
