To be frank, that is very much ground to cover. Can you give any more hints of what you are looking for...as in cost, just a place to go quickly after landing, then head to Galveston in the morning or midway between the two, cheap, certain chains for points, luxury, budget, taking a rental car or wanting a shuttle bus, etc?

There are several hotels with free shuttles around IAH that are clean and will give you a decent room for the night at a fair cost.
