This was exactly my experience as well. You may encounter some resistance or insistence that it requires 2 awards, but you should get it for the single award and the 15% discount too.

And if you get someone to agree to the above, my advice is book then and there. Otherwise, when you call back, you will have to go through the whole process all over again, and its not a short process.

They don't store the quoted mileage amount from my experience so you have to start from scratch on each call.
