Pyjamas, amenity kits or snacks being posted out after their absence during flights kind of misses the point, as would being sent a selection of DVDs to make up for failed in-flight entertainment, or invited to lie down in a mock-up chair for a few hours to make up for a broken seat.
The context of being 30,000 feet in the air and having paid for certain services means a few thousand miles is probably due if those services are not delivered. They do not cost BA much and are likely to be most appreciated, in the way that a kit-kat through the letter box probably would not.
