I work near there, and happened to see a Marriott sign hanging off the building-being-built at the Edinger exit from the northbound 55. I looked it up on the internet and found this article about the pair of hotels (Residence Inn and Fairfield Inn) currently expected to be open this summer:

There's a lot of hotels one exit south on the 55 (Holiday Inn, Embassy Suites, Hampton Inn, Best Western, La Quinta, Quality Inn, and Comfort Inn), but the only Marriott property along the 55 (between the 405 and 5) has been the Springhill at the Macarthur exit.
