Staying here this week. I booked a basic two double beds room. As an SPG Gold I was "upgraded" to a Fountain View room (two double beds). They sell the Fountain View rooms for an extra $30 (I think) online. It is on an SPG Floor. I was asked without prompting what I'd like to have for my Gold amenity. They asked if I was interested in the "Make a Green Choice" program. When I asked if I could make that decision on a nightly basis they said that was fine. I have not confirmed that I can get 500 points rather than the $5 voucher they put under my door.

I think the furnishings are the same as when I was here in 2009. The climate control is adequate. The bed is very comfortable. The shower is that rainfall kind with a second wand (which I prefer). The exercise equipment seems up-to-date. There were two bottles of water in my room "Free and Clear" as well as Starbucks coffee. Parking is $15 in the lot below the hotel ($24 for valet parking) for seven or more hours. Parking in the Fountain Square lot is $5 for eight hours after 4PM weekdays and all day weekends. So walk across the street for something less than $15 parking if you arrive late and plan to be in the car early.

There are some really good restaurants within a block or two of the Westin. I haven't tried the restaurants within the building (Ingrediants, McCormick & Schmick's, and Over Vine). Its also an easy walk to either stadium or the start and finish lines of the Flying Pig.

I would stay here again if for no other reason than it's the only SPG hotel in the area.
