I have never flown LAX to hong kong, but i didn't guess, I searched google and it said its 14 hrs 45 minutes

no im not taking the mickey out of anyone, i'm just frustrated that i have 400 000 star alliance miles and cannot figure out how to use them. maybe thats my fault but as a first time user of star alliance its beyond confusing relative to other awards I have used.

what is considered last minute on star? 1 week? 2 weeks?
