We're flying NRT-LAX first class for the first time this summer. We've never been in anything but coach, so we're definitely excited! But since we're newbies, what are some things we should know about flying first class?
1. What do people usually wear in first class? I wouldn't want to show up in a suit while everyone's in shorts and flip flops, or vice versa.

Just wear something decent and comfortable. After you board, you will be presented with your PJ and most people wear that throughout the flight. On my flight I had seen people wear shorts and suits.
Yes, alcohol is free and "unlimited" until it runs out.
You can order whatever you want until it runs out too. There's an a la carte menu which JAL will start serving after the first meal service and you can order as often and as much as you want. But for the items on the first meal menu, personally I would let the crew have a chance to have their meals before ordering another round
