True, some have been asked to provide proof of stays, but posts seem to indicate many others have not. They, like I, have status in another program without any stays--through holding a credit card, or joining with a promo (remember the Hilton "have to have an Aussie address?), etc.
Yes, I was indeed hoping to get the challenge to cover an upcoming stay without any intention of meeting it.
