There is so little beach on this side right now that our loungers were pushed back to where they actually block the path to the beach. When you crawl over those you see lovely hoses for the desalinization running out along with our umbrella stand overturned in the water. The beach is extremely rocky in this area so you really can't even dip your feet in the water. An upgrade to the pool villa would have helped but I don't want to make it about that. It would just be nice to have access to some water at a reasonable distance for a beach vacation.
Told the wife last night that since we just arrived I was thinking we should just cut bait now and move over to the resort we stayed at last time we were in the Maldives. She was reading my mind, but they are full too.
We haven't been to the house reef yet we have heard so much about so maybe I will start feeling a little better about our decision to come here.
Ask to be moved, enjoy the main pool and beach next to it and make it a positive experience. We only used our pool once, and put beach area was rocky too.
I really like the main pool, but if you want privacy there is another near the Vidhun spa that noone used.
The reality is that the hotel is popular, and I really think everyone should give up on the idea of an upgrade, or secure it in advance with cash.
You can't spend that much time in the sun, so enjoy the public spaces, and take breaks in your room.
The property is amazing so enjoy it.
