Very smart. I actually did have some walnuts along but between the time we left late from SEA, then lost more time over the Pacific, and combined that with a small breakfast on board -- well we needed more. I hadn't packed PB&Js in my carryon the way I often do as back-up. I learned my lesson on that trip. Jerky is a great idea too.

As an afterthought I do have to commend the FA in F for doing the best he could under difficult circumstances. The lady ahead of me was a nervous flyer -- the white knuckle type. We were bouncing all over the place for a while and she was clearly scared. I don't think it helped that we were out over the ocean. The FA made a point of stopping to check in with her when he could and said some soothing words. Good for him.

The poor pilot kept announcing that they were trying to find smoother air but weren't having any luck. It was the first time I've ever heard a pilot actually plead with passengers not to get out of their seats unless it was an absolute emergency.

And to the OP: I hope the weather over the Pacific is better when you take your trip!
