If you went to a restaurant and they made you wait until three hours after your reservation for a table, wouldn't you at least expect a free appetizer or dessert?
My pet peeve is that you can get to the airport early and they want extra money to get you where you're going early - but if they get you there late, they tell you in effect to go **** up a rope.
I think there should be a compact between airlines and customers, where they say they'll really really really do their best by us, and if they can't, we cut them some slack. But the compact now is they'll really really really do their best to gouge us, and if they can't deliver what they promise, they expect us to understand.
