No I haven't emailed them as I can predict their canned response will be something like......
"Points will be awarded in accordance with the terms and conditions"

I just got a quote from Amex for 8 nights for the price of 6 with a package that looks distinctly summer flavourish.
I have also emailed them to confirm it's a paid on check out rate and eligible for sirius points as I'm now within striking distance of Gold finally!
I'd be a lot closer too if they hadn't purloined the extra 500 points I had earned over the silver threshold
