It is ten days before my stay and I get an email from the Ritz Grand Cayman including this tidbit?

Additional charges: $28.40 service charge and $50 resort fee daily
I knew about the resort fee, that was no surprise, but an additional service charge mentioned 10 days prior for the first time?
I didn't see this mentioned here (on FT), but has anyone been changed a service fee on points redemption?
About 30 seconds after getting the email from the Ritz, I emailed asking for clarification and will pass along the reply.
