I did a miles redemption on MH in J for LHR-SYD-LHR about 6 years ago and nearly fell off my seat at the taxes . So while i am not at all surprised to see its an issue , for the life of me I don't know why they are so out of line with what I have paid on BA and Thai (via *A) on the same route.
