I just check the rate for St Regis - our of budget as suites are the only option left.

Just wondered what other Starwood option would you recommend.

I am worry the Sheratons are too old and the LM looks like in a dodgy part of town?

I want somewhere with a nice pool, with spa facilities (even no massage is offered at least a steam room available for use).

Of course PLT recognition will be best (with exec club access, freebies etc...)
The Sheraton Grande should be fine for your purposes. No lounge but you can have breakfast in the main restaurant or at the pool and evening cocktails/snacks in great venues. The pool is really great if you want a place to relax. If you want to do laps then I'd probably go with the Plaza Athenee which has a wonderful lounge and very large pool.
