If you are staying for two or three weeks, then don't restrict yourself to Orlando. You could fly into and out of virtually any airport(s) in Florida. You might consider flying into Miami, visiting Key West, then up the Gulf Coast to Sanibel Island, then on to Orlando, then finish in St Augustine. There is much to see in Florida, and many different airports.

That said, it will be unbearably hot during late July and early August.
