Book the "Red Carpet" service out of LCCT. You get a dedicated check in desk, walked to the lounge, walked straight through security, to the gate, then put on a golf cart and taken straight to the aircraft door. It's an excellent service.
I'll second that suggestion! It's £20 well spent - but the cautious can always wait until the day to check out the queues, and pay an additional £5 as a walk-up fee.
It may not be worth it at all airports it's offered: Jakarta's a regular for me, and the new terminal 3 is a dream, compared to the older terminals used by some other LCC.
