I spoke to the duty manager, who reluctantly allowed me to use a higher (but not the highest) speed available. For the so-called Internet capital of India, the service at the Royal Gardenia was shockingly slow and kept failing every few minutes. No entertainment packages were involved. Finally, a business suited technician appeared at my door and set up a completely different system, with a different modem. That worked, but they did try to charge me a huge fee at check out.
