How often does Y get served before F?

Just got off a DEN-ORD flight.
During her announcements, the purser started a few sentences with the word "I", followed by a brief pause, and her overall tone seemed patronizing.
She stated that service would commence after the captain turned off the fasten seatbelt sign.

About 15-20 minutes into the flight, I noticed that the flight attendants in Y had started their service at row 6, asking people what they wanted to drink and if they wanted a snackbox. Meanwhile, our purses was busy with her newspaper.
She came around some time later to take food orders and drink orders, and then came around a second time to ask if we wanted soup.
Drinks and food were finally served 45 minutes into the flight. She came around the cabin and told everyone " trays, trays", which meant we had to clear our trays. She then came back with the trays.
Drink service consisted of her holding the tray and you picking up your drink from that tray.

Needless to say, this was not one of United's finest, and I was curious.. how often have you been on a flight where Y gets served a significant time before F gets anything?
