fly to LAX and book a cheap flight on jet blue or Southwest or Virgin America-- if you can open jaw on your award tix you only need to buy a o/w and it is very inexpensive.... cheaper than driving probably

try flying into ONT- it is a bit closer to LAS than LAX is. or any of the LA area airports...
