I just booked a flight on Copaair.com IAD-PTY-CTG-PTY-IAD. I have no MP status. The website allowed me to select an exit row seat on all my flights. I booked a discounted economy "W" fare.

Are exit row seats first come first serve? I thought like UA only MP elites could select exit row seating in advance and others like me had to wait until check-in?

I'm only asking because I don't want to check-in for my flights in May and find myself in a middle seat on the back of the bus. As of now my seat assignments seem to be sticking.

Anyone has any experience with CM's exit row seating for non-premier travelers?
