When I used Air Asia X last spring, they only flew to HGH (Hangzhou) which they're promoting as Shanghai, but which obviously isn't. And which also won't work for the 72-hour visa-free transit.
Yes, my itinerary is actually SIN-KUL(connection)-PVG. Apparently, this KUL-PVG service is a new service that will be starting in about a couple of weeks.
