Taiwan water: What to sip that won't be scary?

I'm headed to Taiwan (primarily Taipei, at this point) in a couple of months, and am running into all sorts of conflicting information regarding the water.

When traveling in China and Hong Kong, I stuck strictly to bottled, including when brushing my teeth.

In Japan, I drank and brushed with bottled, but kind of think my morning tea may have been tap water boiled in the Zojirushi units provided in the rooms. Can't recall for sure, but, don't recall pouring bottled water into the boilers.

So now--Taipei. My plan is to use bottled for drinking and teeth, provided I stick to major (recognizable) brands.

What about the boiler, though? Should that be bottled too?

And what about tea shops? The hard core pu erh lover in me has been excited-to-bits about trying new teas, but it just hit me---that might be playing with dynamite.

Soups in restaurants? My paranoia is reeling. (Of course, I could just go for an all-beer visit, but it might be nice to recall some of the trip upon returning home.)

Anyone have some experience/wisdom to share? Thank you, thank you....
