The more agony for Darth Parker the better, as that lessens the liklihood of agony for AA passengers of a Parker takeover.

I am all for the maximum agony that can be inflicted on Parker.

It sounds like an extension might actually be a wonderful thing.

The BK experts can shed more light than me, but I believe that an extension is generally not a good thing; for one, continued improvements in financial performance increase the value of the current stock, increasing the probability that shareholders will have sufficient equity to change the formula of the final setlement.

AMR mgmt has taken the position that any deal would take place post-BK, so unless that position has changed, it only prolongs the agony for Parker.
