Also something to watch out for is whether EL AL's Board will consist of the same people. Part of the problem why LY never was restructured was because the board members themselves did not understand the airline industry nor did they bother to put managers in place to restructure the company. Some board members were/are even friends with senior EL AL executives. I know for a fact that Danny Saadon is good friends with board member Yudi Levy, who is the managing partner of Israel's largest law firm. When you have a situation of friendship between board members and inefficient VP's held over from the state owned era, you know nothing will ever get done by way of change. Hopefully, Ishay Davidi and his partners at FIMI understand this and will spearhead the changes necessary to put LY on the road towards successful restructuring and sustained fiscal soundness.
