Since you say this is all on one UA award sequence, I'm a bit baffled why it was ticketed this way, since I thought the Minimum Connection Time at CTU for intl > domestic was 90 minutes, which your itinerary doesn't meet. I hope this doesn't come back to haunt you. Is it too late to change this segment now with little or no penalty?
As soon as you deplane at CTU, you might try to alert one of the waiting CA agents to your plight. With any luck, somebody can help speed you through the process a bit more quickly. If you're traveling in a premium cabin, it could help. I think you have to take a shuttle between T1 and T2, which could present a time-snarfing obstacle.
Thanks Jiejie. Understand RE availability on the later flight.
There's actually an alternative routing that goes SIN-PEK-LXA. The first segment lands in PEK at 0610am and departs PEK 0740am.
I was previously avoiding that flight (because it gets to LXA at 1155am, rather than 0940am). But the A330 J product SIN-PEK might allow for a little more sleep, and the turn is 90 minutes.
Do you think we'd have better luck with a 90-minute PEK turn?
